После неоднократного очень внимательного прослушивания данного альбома я совершенно однозначно могу утверждать, что Forbidden Fruit - лучшй альбом на данном этапе существования этой группы, который начался в 1997г., когда эта команда, укомплектовав состав блестящим британским вокалисто Яном Перри(Vengeance, Ayreon), выпустила альбом State of Mind, кардинально сменив при этом стиль с мелодичного пауэра на прогрессив.

Да, шикарный образец пауэр металла, ничего не скажешь! И когда-то я даже не знал, что этому творению уже почти пять лет! Ведь если забыть о том что «The Savage Poetry» только перезаписанный дебютный диск группы, то можно легко прийти к выводу что это совершенно новый альбом, и просто некая эволюция после супер удачных опусов «Vain Glory Opera» и «Theater Of Salvation». В целом, получается так, что «Поэзия» затыкает за шиворот «Королевство Безумия» вышедшее двумя годами позже! В общем, великолепно!

Вторая часть трилогии (Lecons De Tenebres, Les Tenebres Du Dehors, The Umbersun) в музыкальном плане, пожалуй самая лучшая, самая злобная (насколько это вообще возможно для амбиентной готики)и неистовая. Эта трилогия по замыслу музыкантов должна символизировать три части некоей католической мессы. Первая - отчаяние, вторая - ненависть, третья - смерть. Так оно и случилось. Тексты написаны под влиянием Мильтона, прекрасные латинские вставки. Высочайший профессионализм чувствуется во всем, особенно в женских партиях, так не похожих на стандартное думовое нытье. Рекомендую всю трилогию, но на этом альбоме у истинных ценителей готической Тьмы крыша отъедет далеко и навсегда

При внимательном изучении списка композиций можно обнаружить, что названия почти не встречаются на номерных альбомах. Углубление в дискографию дает следующие результаты. Итак, из 13 композиций 10 являются бонус-треками со всех шести опусов группы, 2 композиции ("Frostbitten Forest" и "Desphas") абсолютно новые, а одна тема перезаписана ("Kateek Loturik..."). Любопытно, что перезаписанная песня с самого последнего релиза 2012 года. В первую очередь, изменения коснулись голосовых партий и зачем-то была откинута красивая последняя часть песни с акустической гитарой.

The title 21 at 33 was chosen as it was John's 21st album release overall and came out when he was 33 years old. Upon release, the album was a moderate success, reaching the top 20 on both the US Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart and proving far more successful than his previous effort Victim of Love (1979). The record's lead single, "Little Jeannie", peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100, while it stalled at number 33 on the UK singles chart. Critical reception was relatively warm, although some criticized the record as inconsistent and lacking cohesion. To promote the album, John embarked on a tour of North America and Oceania, including a free concert in Central Park. 21 at 33 has since been certified Gold by the RIAA for US sales in excess of 500,000 copies.

John's second double album, it was recorded at EMI Studios, Brother Studios, Eastern Sound and Sunset Sound Recorders, and was his last to be produced by longtime collaborator Gus Dudgeon until Ice on Fire (1985). Additionally, the album would be the last collaboration between John and lyricist Bernie Taupin for the next few years[a] until a partial resumption of their working partnership with 21 at 33 (1980).
