Thallium plays pretty chaotic and cold black metal with synths and are just as unable as S.A.R. to come up with anything good. ... I’m left wondering why the hell Evil decided to do a split release with two such crappy bands. It would’ve been much better if the Evil material on this album would simply have been released as e.g. an Evil demo.

Следующий, седьмой по счёту, полноформатный альбом коллектива получает название "Redemption", а его релиз состоялся 17 декабря 2010 года на неизменном лейбле AFM Records. В записи одной из песен принял участие канадский рокер Данко Джоунс (Danko Jones). После его выхода музыканты отправляются в длительное европейское турне. Следующая полноформатная работа выходит лишь в феврале 2012 года под заголовком "The Acoustic". Сюда вошли новые записи старого материала, несколько новых песен и пара каверов. На этом музыканты не остановились и уже начали работать над следующим альбомом.

Ъля… Звуковой макабр… Аудиальная форма апокалипсиса… Есть команды, которые в своём творчестве пересекают границу представимого… Дык вот - эти англичане - яркий тому пример… Про их соотечественников - Anathema, My Dying Bride и Paradise Lost - забудьте... :) Сдаётся мне, что во время сочинения материала этого почти двухчасового опуса запасы местных фармацевтов и наркобарыг были опустошены этими мистерами... Причём препараты вызвали далеко не радужные эмоции и видения... Я всегда говорил, что гениальность - сестра либо простоты, либо сумашествия... Так вот здесь мы явно имеем дело со вторым... Итак: 2(!!!) часа невероятной смеси дарк эмбиента, нойза и похоронного СЛАДЖ(!!!) дума... Пара очень меланхоличных моментов... И мрак... Пустота... Смерть... Небытие... Этакий НАРКОТИЧЕСКИЙ КОШМАР... Это ДЕЙСТВИТЕЛЬНО СТРАШНО...

Evergrey в новом обличье. С "Monday Morning Apocalypse" шведы, до сих пор олицетворявшие собой скандинавский прогрессив-пауэр, ориентируются на более массового слушателя. Музыка заметно упростилась, но зато прибавила в хитовости, наглядно проявившейся в заглавной композиции, "In Remembrance" и "I Should". В общем-то, до готик-метала группе уже рукой подать, и отследить ее дальнейшее развитие будет крайне любопытно. Пока же все эти метаморфозы прошли на редкость удачно.

Альбом, хочу заметить, атмосферный, но ничуть не мрачный (но если только самую малость). Я не испытывал чувств страха или обречённости, как при первом прослушивании "We Hate You!" - старой песни ансамбля.Или, может, это всё просто из-за того, что перед смертью страху нет места? Уносящие прочь за пределы разума вокал старины Джастина, в меру сырое гудение гитар и, конечно же, создающие неизменный магический ритм барабаны! На этом альбоме, кстати, хоть и всего в двух песнях, но появляется новый для группы инструмент - клавиши, - создающие эффект органа.

Backless is the sixth full-length studio album by Eric Clapton. Produced by Glyn Johns, and released by RSO Records, Backless reached No. 8 on the pop charts. While the single "Promises" only reached No. 37 in the UK, it was a much bigger success in the US, reaching No. 9 on the Billboard charts. The follow-up single, "Watch Out for Lucy", was the B-side of "Promises", but reached #40 on the Billboard charts on its own merit. This was Clapton's last studio album to feature his longtime bassist Carl Radle who died in 1980.
