Frank Alpine is the minimal synth project of Los Angeles based musician Rich Moreno. As a veteran of LA’s underground punk and darkwave scenes, as well as a previous member of New Collapse and The Boy Scouts of Annihilation, Moreno has called upon his resume to create a harsh and abrasive minimal synth sound consumed by jarring Casio synths and penetrating drum machine rhythms. Frank Alpine put out its first single Night Tripper with Dais in 2009, and went on to put out its self-titled LP on the late Wierd Records in 2011. Somewhere between the relentless aggression of No Wave and the minimalistic precision of 80s minimal synth, Frank Alpine brands his own style of pared-down electronics with a clashing imprint that is as sharp and machine-like as it is cerebral and distinctly humanistic.

То есть финны на всю голову погружены в 80-е, им нравится звучание и эстетика «хэйр-метала» и стадионного рока. И все отличительные черты и «родимые пятна» они аккуратно воспроизвели – «гимновые» припевы в духе Def Leppard, пересушенный саунд, гулкие ударные, синтезаторные подкладки. В разделении на «плохих мальчиков» и «хороших мальчиков» Free Spirit – явно хорошие, причесанные и аккуратные. Хотя нельзя сказать, что это совсем уж стерильная музыка – есть в ней и драйв, и добротные риффы. И вокал Сами Алхо – крепкий и профессиональный, чуть хрипловатый, который бы подошел и для вещей потяжелее.

The Colour and the Shape is the second studio album by the American rock band Foo Fighters. Produced by Gil Norton, it was released through Capitol Records and the group's own Roswell Records on May 20, 1997. The record is the debut of the Foo Fighters as a group, as the band's previous record, Foo Fighters (1995), was primarily recorded by frontman Dave Grohl and friend Barrett Jones as a demo. After the project ballooned and became an international success, the group convened for pre-production in the fall of 1996 and brought in producer Norton to establish a pop sensibility for the tracks. In Your Honor is the fifth studio album by American rock band Foo Fighters, released on June 14, 2005 by RCA Records. It is a double album, with one disc containing heavy rock songs and a second disc with mellower acoustic songs. Frontman Dave Grohl decided to do a diverse blend of songs as he felt that after ten years of existence, the band had to break new ground with their music. The album was recorded at a newly built studio in Northridge, Los Angeles, and featured guests such as John Paul Jones, Norah Jones and Josh Homme. The lyrics deal with both resonating and introspective themes, with a major influence from Grohl's involvement on the campaign trail with John Kerry during the 2004 presidential election. It is the first album to feature keyboardist Rami Jaffee, although he would not join the band as full-time member until 2017.
