San Francisco-area funk rockers Fungo Mungo culminated a successful bar band career with this 1992 release on Island Records. With a lineup of Damion Gallegos on vocals, Jeff Gomes on drums, eventual Third Eye Blind bassist Arion Salazar, Miguel Fimbriez Johnson on guitar, and Damon Ramirez on keyboards, Fungo Mungo delivers tightly-wrapped funk modeled after the genre's best practitioners. Instead of the kinetic locker-room edge of funk-rock superstars Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fungo Mungo had the talent and desire to move booties with their Prince and Funkadelic inflections. Besides the rock instrumentation, the disc includes plenty of horns in its mix, keeping the soul flow in affect as the band glides through their loosely arranged jams. Highlight cuts include the Sign O' the Times mimicking "Hype is Stupid" and the rolling riffage of "Sex Sells" that suggests fellow Bay Area mega-talents Primus. Humongous has the all the energy and musicianship needed to inspire open-minded funk fans of any generation.

The Freddie Mercury Album is a posthumous solo project with material from Queen frontman and vocalist Freddie Mercury released in 1992, to observe the anniversary of his death. The album is mainly made up of remixes from his past releases, as well as the original versions of "Barcelona", "Love Kills", "Exercises in Free Love", and "The Great Pretender". A week later, The Great Pretender, its US counterpart, was released.

Frank Alpine is the minimal synth project of Los Angeles based musician Rich Moreno. As a veteran of LA’s underground punk and darkwave scenes, as well as a previous member of New Collapse and The Boy Scouts of Annihilation, Moreno has called upon his resume to create a harsh and abrasive minimal synth sound consumed by jarring Casio synths and penetrating drum machine rhythms. Frank Alpine put out its first single Night Tripper with Dais in 2009, and went on to put out its self-titled LP on the late Wierd Records in 2011. Somewhere between the relentless aggression of No Wave and the minimalistic precision of 80s minimal synth, Frank Alpine brands his own style of pared-down electronics with a clashing imprint that is as sharp and machine-like as it is cerebral and distinctly humanistic.

Pushing the Senses is the fifth album by the British rock band Feeder. It was released on Echo, Liberation Music and PIAS on 31 January 2005 in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, while being released on Pony Canyon in Japan on 10 February 2005. Despite mixed reviews, the album was a commercial success, in which it was a top five album in Feeder's native United Kingdom, and its lead single "Tumble and Fall" was a top five single. This made the album Feeder's most successful in terms of peak chart position, but did not experience the same chart longevity as presuccessor Comfort in Sound, which spent 36 weeks on the UK top 75 chart in comparison to the 15 weeks spent by Pushing the Senses.

О группе известно очень мало, разве что образовались они в Вене (Австрия) в 1987 году. Также известно что после 2003 года у них ничего не выходило, а участники разбежались по сторонним проектам, в основном чтобы играть попсу. В том же 2003м вышли ещё экспериментальные "Dysfunctiones And Drones" и совместный с Schlund и Dr. Nachtstrom винил "Retox". Надо думать это была лебединая песня Фетишей.Диски у Fetish 69 получаются довольно разные по звучанию, так что услышав один нельзя считать, что вы знаете эту группу.

Кози Пауэлл - один из выдающихся английских барабанщиков рок движения 60-х - 90-х годов прошлого столетия, за свою недолгую, но плодотворную жизнь и карьеру успел поработать с огромным числом звёзд и групп первой величины, таких как Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Yngwie Malmsteen, Whitesnake, Gary Moore, Brian May, Jack Bruce и многие другие. Помимо этого, в разные периоды творческой карьеры, Кози работал и над совместными сольными проектами. Как раз один такой, редкий на сегодня, проект с гитаристом Реем Фенвиком, под названием Forcefield II, и попал в мои руки. На вокале здесь отметился великолепный Тони Мартин. Впрочем, вся компания подобралась на славу, и успешно исполнила очень красивый, классический хард-рок, местами джаз-рок, и даже блюз.

Что касается творческого развития "Fleshless", то оно было на лицо - на альбомах "Hate Is Born" и "Slaves Of The God Machine" команда потихоньку продвигалась к трэшу и молодик-дэту, однако при этом оставалась верной брутальным корням и не скатываясь в банальную "Гётеборщину"

Теперь перейдем к самому альбому. Качество звука достойное, необходимо отметить неплохое микширование, но хотелось бы чуть лучше - звук ударных немного глуховат. Музыка представляет из себя только-только зарождающийся тогда Power Metal (в его традиционном понимании). Напрашивается сравнение с хэлловинскими "Киперами", но музыка Fifth Angel тяжелее и содержит немало элементов хэви-метала плюс совсем чуть-чуть трэша в гитарных риффах.

В 1988-м вышли второй полноформатник, "State of mind", и два мини-альбома, "Corrosion" и "Disorder". Эти релизы показали, что Front Line Assembly могут работать не только с глубоко ритмичными композициями, но и с эмбиент-текстурами. Если в тот период группа стояла особняком в "индустриальной" толпе, то на следующий год парни решили двинуться в сторону дэнс-мьюзик.

История группы Fleshless началась в 1993 году в Чехии. Первыми релизами коллектива считаются два демо: "Stench of Rotting Heads", вышедший в 1993-м, и "Grinding", вышедший в 1994 году, которые разошлись более чем 1000 копий на кассетах. Для начала это было неплохим показателем. Стоит отметить, что изначально ребята играли под вывеской Nice to Eat You, но в 2001-м сменили название на нынешнее.
