Кажется, что дебютной работе Pillorian нечем удивить слушателя - на выходе получился достаточно своеобразный dark/black metal с фолковыми вкраплениями. Но этот альбом пропитан темной, мрачной, "спокойной" атмосферой, уверенной подачей музыки, интересными структурами и точно не даст заскучать внимательному слушателю. Fear of a Black Planet is the third studio album by American hip hop group Public Enemy, released on April 10, 1990, by Def Jam Recordings and Columbia Records. It was produced by the group's production team The Bomb Squad, who sought to expand on the dense, sample-layered sound of Public Enemy's previous album, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (1988). Having fulfilled their initial creative ambitions with that album, Public Enemy pursued a different direction and aspired to create what lead MC Chuck D specified as "a deep, complex album". Their songwriting was partly inspired by the controversy with member Professor Griff and his dismissal from the group in 1989.

Protest Songs is the fourth album by English pop band Prefab Sprout (though the third recorded). It was recorded in 1985, but was not released until 1989; it's not clear whether, at the time of recording, the band had intended it as the main follow-up to their breakthrough album Steve McQueen, released earlier in 1985. The back cover of Protest Songs positions the album as a stage in their musical evolution, offering a middle ground between the sound and songwriting of Steve McQueen and that of From Langley Park to Memphis. The album's promotion was low-key and no singles were released from it at the time (though "Life of Surprises" was issued as a single three years later to promote the group's greatest hits album).

Wish You Were Here is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd. It was released on 12 September 1975 in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records and a day later in the United States by Columbia Records, their first American release for the label.
Based on material Pink Floyd composed while performing in Europe, Wish You Were Here was recorded over numerous sessions at Abbey Road Studios in London. Two songs criticise the music business, another expresses alienation and the multi-part composition "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a tribute to Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett, who left seven years earlier due to his troubled mental health. As with their album The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Floyd used studio effects, synthesizers and brought in guest singers, Roy Harper, who provided the lead vocals on "Have a Cigar" and Venetta Fields, who added backing vocals to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".
