Но самое удивительное в этом альбоме, что скомпрессированный, приглаженный, очень глэмовый саунд с элементами фолка, джаза, и экзальтированная манера исполнения Хэммилла до ужаса напоминают ранние альбомы Боуи (Хэммил, конечно, мог сетовать, что девическая фамилия Уайт Дюка - Надир, но Зигги все-таки был раньше!). А вот чего почти нет у Боуи - такой же захлебывающейся гневной агрессии, которая есть тут и которая была у Хэммилла даже на ранних VdGG-пластинках. Но здесь она получила интересно-парадоксальное воплощение в виде тех самых beefy punk songs.

Первый опус американских «Террористов с гитарами» (данный титул принадлежит немецкой неонацистской группе Landser), фанатов событий в Персидском заливе, городе Газа и т.д. Состоит из коротких боевичков с явной панк-окраской и креном в сторону классического трэша, но для панка они кристально записаны и непрямолинейны, а для трэша сверх легки и не скоростны, да и нет особого желания у этих янки быть похожими не на то ни на это. Итак, Гари в своем репертуаре кричит о том, что все его достало и менять что-либо он намерен только при помощи стрелкового оружия, тяжелой бронетехники и баллистических ракет.

Pipes of Peace is the fourth solo studio album by the English singer-songwriter Paul McCartney. It was released on 31 October 1983. As the follow-up to the popular Tug of War, the album came close to matching the commercial success of its predecessor in Britain but peaked only at number 15 on America's Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart. While Pipes of Peace was the source of international hit singles such as "Say Say Say" (recorded with Michael Jackson) and the title track, the critical response to the album was less favourable than that afforded to Tug of War.

Flowers in the Dirt is the eighth solo studio album by Paul McCartney. The album was released on 5 June 1989 on Parlophone, as he was embarking on his first world tour since the Wings Over the World tour in 1975–76. It earned McCartney some of his best reviews for an album of original songs since Tug of War (1982). The album made number one in the United Kingdom and Norway and produced several hit singles (the first being "My Brave Face"). The album artwork was a collaboration between artist Brian Clarke, who painted the canvas and arranged the flowers, and Linda McCartney, who produced the cover photography.
