New is the sixteenth solo studio album by English musician Paul McCartney, released on 11 October 2013 through MPL Communications, Hear Music, and Universal International. The album was his first since 2007's Memory Almost Full to consist entirely of new compositions.

The album was executive produced by Giles Martin, with production by Martin, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Paul Epworth and it was mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound, New York. McCartney has stated that New was inspired by recent events in his life as well as memories of his pre-Beatles history. He added that some of the arrangements are unlike his usual rock recordings, and that he specifically sought out younger producers to work with.

Egypt Station is the seventeenth solo studio album by English singer-songwriter Paul McCartney, released on 7 September 2018 through Capitol Records.

Egypt Station was produced by Greg Kurstin and co-produced by McCartney, with the exception of one track produced by Ryan Tedder.[1] The album is McCartney's first studio release since 2013's New. The album's lead single, a double A-side consisting of the songs "I Don't Know" and "Come On to Me", was released on 20 June 2018.

The name "Egypt Station" is shared by one of McCartney's paintings from 1988, from which the cover art is derived. It became his first number one album in the United States since 1982's Tug of War and his first to debut atop the Billboard 200.

И вот, год 73-й ознаменовывается первой по-настоящему сильной сольной работой Питера. Надо сказать, что после прослушивания, неоднократно ловишь себя на мысли о противоречивости всего, что связано с этим релизом. Во-первых, альбом разбивается на чисто-Хэммилловские вещи ("Modern", "Wilhelmina", "The Lie", "Rubicon"), где идея стоит во главе и превышает по значимости музыкальное содержание и творения ВДГГ ("Forsaken Gardens", "Red Shift", "A Louse Is Not A Home"), где явственно заметны все те славные ребята, что дружно сходили с ума в 1971 г. Но вся штука-то в том, что и те, и другие композиции словно бы взаимно переплетены невидимыми нитями тревоги, ужаса, мрака. Вот ещё одно противоречие - белая обложка (но недаром же она рвётся, и этот тихий уголок зовёт, увлекает в пучину) и мрачное содержание.

Очень хороший альбом! По-моему, споры о том, каким Парадайз Лост был и каким он стал, здесь просто не уместны. Поскольку те, кто его любят, будут слушать всё равно, а те, кто остались согласны с его ранним творчеством так и будут поливать грязью все последующие творения. И опять же я скажу, что альбом удался на славу! Он более мрачен, чем предыдущий диск «Symbol Of Life», но в тоже время не настолько темный, дабы погрязнуть в пучине классического дума и менее перегружен всякой электроникой.
