Не ожидал, не ожидал. Раньше никогда не слышал эту польскую группу. И все что мне о ней было ведомо - это то что здесь играет драммер Инферно (BEHEMOTH). И вот попал мне в руки альбом датированный 2002 годом. Честно говоря все эти обложки с пулеметными лентами уже слегка достали, поэтому первое мое впечатление от диска было слегка испорчено. Но, это до тех пор пока я не врубил погромче свою систему... Я просто выпал в осадок!!! Вот это моща! Сумашедший thrash/black, всесокрушающий и убийственный! Класс. Скорость и агрессия! Все песни - не более 3 минут. Зато их вместилось на компакт аж 16 штук. Последние две - коверы SARCOFAGO "Satanic Lust" и SODOM "Blasphemer". Просто ураган!

На этом альбоме группа наконец выкристаллизовала свой стиль - поп-рок,дэт,электрофолк,"кельтский фанк" - короче, каждый найдет для себя что-то интересное.А еще они перепели песенку The Cure "A Forest" так, что закачаешься - в тыщу раз круче оригинала!!!А для дотошных думстеров замечу - на этом альбоме рычать ребятам помогает Томи Койвусаари (Amorphis)

Строго говоря, материал очень похож на демо (которая не "солнышко в руках и кусок чего-то там в небесах"), качество записи не ахти, но уровень мастерства Валфара даже тогда, в далеком 97-м, совсем еще юного, таков, что и не снился иным мэтрам с ...дцатилетним стажем. Весь альбом Валфар сотворил самостоятельно, в одиночку. Даже и не верится, что такое под силу 16-летнему мальчишке! Материал поражает целостностью и законченностью, и он отнюдь не сырой, как можно было бы подумать, исходя из первоначальных данных - "пацан в одиночку выпускает дебютный альбом". И лучшим доказательством служит тот факт, что сразу две вещи из дебютника - "Mørket Sin Fyrste" и "Likbør" - попали на трибьют, посвященный его памяти.

Группа записала уже 11 полноформатных альбомов. Есть в них некоторый крен в сторону электроник-индастриал, любят они метал такой с электроникой играть, но опять же, много у них стилистически совершенно других композиций. Да, не все вещи у них шедевры, но постоянный поиск новых музыкальный идей и эксперименты у них были всегда. Всем тем, кому это по душе, и не является die-hard пробитым True-металлистом, я категорически рекомендую Waltari.

A great collection of some of Wolle's best songs! Most are from the 90's and some are re-recorded versions of his earlier material, such as Tu's Doch, Mein Zuhaus, Sommer in der Stadt, etc. The re-recorded versions do sound a bit more modern and I like them, but I prefer the original versions. Anyway, he's got such a great voice and his music is so catchy and uplifting. I do understand some German, and he sings so clearly that it's easy for me to understand what he's singing about, even if I don't know every single word.
