Здесь присутствуют практически все элементы, которые мы так любим в творчестве… INSOMNIUM – да, именно INSOMNIUM – других, более возрастных, знаменитых и коммерчески-успешных финнов. С тем лишь отличием, что у «ВолчьегоСердца» чуть более выражена именно агрессивно-дэт-металлическая и где-то грувовая составляющая, а в «Throne Of Bones» пацанята даже заигрывают с ритмическими рисунками в духе MESHUGGAH, ну так, самую малость. Зато в плане эпики до тех же INSOMNIUM наши друзья ой как не дотягивают, хотя совершенно очевидно, что очень стараются.

В 1999 году итальянская пауэр металл группа White Skull выпустила свой самый лучший альбом, на одном из самых престижных лейблов Нуклеар Бласт. Перед полноформатным альбомом был выпущен сингл «Asgard» дабы ещё более разогреть публику. И уже с сингла все узнали, какой чудесный сюрприз ожидает нас всех, а именно гостевое участие легендарного Криса Больтендаля, вокалиста и лидера немецкой звезды пауэр-спид металла Grave Digger. «Tales From The North» это концептуальное творение, основанное на подвигах викингов и скандинавской мифологии, что уже подразумевает героические и эпические тексты.

Добротный коллектив из Швеции. Лично мне подобают больше всего первые два полноформатника + епишка, поскольку музыканты умело привносят элементы хэви в музыку, что весьма впечатляет, т.е. задорно и весело. Больше всего меня порадовал кавер на Fast As Shark, поскольку я очень люблю Accept, ну и хорошие каверы на W.A.S.P. и Judas Priest. 3й альбом неплохой, но он сильно проигрывает предыдущим 2м. Хочу отметить, что музыканты отметились во многих известных коллективах, как The Haunted, Dismember, Brujeria, Marduk и т.д.

В Wyrd Наркват даёт волю своему восхищению угрюмой финской природой и своей тоске по давно ушедшим временам. Из всего весомого творческого багажа Wyrd наиболее достойной мне видится описываемая работа «Время волка, часть 2: зловещая бессонница» за 2004 год. Наркват не стал изобретать велосипед и применил старую, добрую, проверенную временем формулу – взяв за основу безрадостный, неторопливый, тоскливый чёрный метал а-ля "Бурзум", Наркват оснастил его местами величественной, а местами смурной «природной» атмосферой, а также приукрасил заимствованиями из смежных стилей.

Американские металкорщики Walls of Jericho анонсировали свой новый альбом. Грядущий полноформатник выйдет 25 марта 2016 года на лейбле Napalm Records и будет называться "No One Can Save You From Yourself".

“Head Of Deceiver” стал первым альбомом, выпущенным на немецком лейбле Limb Music, и первой, по-настоящему успешной работой “немецкого Мановара”. Запись отличается от предыдущих релизов заметно лучшим качеством, и не последнюю роль в этом сыграл на тот момент еще не такой опытный, но прекрасно знающий, что он делает, продюсер Uwe Lulis, на тот момент находящийся в составе Grave Digger. В свете последнего имени называть Wizard “немецким Мановаром” несколько надуманно, так как в их музыке черт американских апологетов тру металла практически не осталось, сохранились лишь схожие по тематике тексты и имидж коллектива.

I freely admit that Worriers was one of those bands I should have known much more about prior to attending the Fest last year. Missing out on their appearance in Gainesville is quickly becoming my biggest regret. Luckily, it looks like I’ll be able to rectify that in short order as they are embarking on a tour with Brian Fallon in support of this, their latest album, You or Someone You Know.

In 1988, at the pinnacle of the “Hollywood Hair Metal” craze, WILDSIDE, then called YOUNG GUNNS, was formed by guitarist Benny Rhynedance and singer Drew Hannah. Both were 1986 hair metal transplants from the pre-grunge Seattle music scene, which in 1986, did not exist yet.
By 1988 in Los Angeles, after slugging it out for two years in the LA club scene as glam rockers Rogue and enduring the Hollywood “Pay to Play” club promoter rip-off, Benny and Drew disbanded their original Seattle band. They then formed THE BOYZ, which became YOUNG GUNNS, and recruited second guitarist Brent Woods from the Sunset Strip band ALRISHA, and bassist Marc Simon from local heroes ST. VALENTINE. The lineup was soon completed with the addition of drummer Johnny Dean, but he soon left the band.
The guys searched for a permanent drummer and dominated the Sunset Strip and the Whisky-A-Go-Go on the weekly Monday night “No Bozo Jam” shows. After a year and a half of “false starts and flakes,” they found ex-NRG and KANE ROBERTS drummer Jimmy D. from San Bernardino, CA to finally complete the classic lineup.
This is when the hard work truly began. With a solid lineup, the band began an all-out assault on Hollywood. Sold out shows followed at the Roxy, Whisky, Troubadour, Gazzarri’s, and X-Poseur 54. Front page covers on all of the LA rock press magazines arose, and record labels began to take notice.
Diligently writing and rehearsing in their shared Hollywood gigs, the boys played endlessly throughout 1988-1989. When they weren’t ripping through impassioned sets, they were putting up flyers on every telephone pole in town. Their self-determination turned self-promotion into an art form and soon the band’s name was on everyone’s lips.
However, the band needed to eventually change their name. Originally known as YOUNG GUNNS between ’88 to ‘90, the producers of a western film using a similar title (released incidentally after the band was already well on its way) from Lionsgate Studios and Artisan Entertainment issued a series of cease and desist warnings and wanted $350,000 for the rights to the name.
After another late night Sunset Strip gig, while the guys were afterwards at the Rainbow bar, the name WILDSIDE was thrown around and seemed to fit their lifestyle perfectly, while being inspired by the Lou Reed song of the same name.
With their new name, a new phase of the band history was about to begin. But, that’s another story…

Auf dem mit Pete Wingfield gemeinsam produzierten Album mischte Westernhagen deutschen Rhythm and Blues mit gelegentlichen Einflüssen der Rolling Stones (Tanz mit dem Teufel). Einige Funk-Zitate, zum Beispiel in Hey Honey ergänzen die Songs.[2] Das Album erreichte Platz 1 der deutschen Charts. Vor allem die Singleauskopplung Es geht mir gut wurde zum Erfolg im deutschsprachigen Raum. Auch die zugehörige Tournee Affentour, auf der die DVD Keine:Zeit – Affentour 1995 aufgenommen wurde, war sehr erfolgreich.

Love, Whitney is a compilation album by Whitney Houston, released in 2001. It was the follow-up to Houston's multi-platinum greatest hits collection Whitney: The Greatest Hits (2000). Love, Whitney is a collection of ballads that have become her trademark over the years and includes a collection of nine top 20 hits. As AllMusic reviewer Jose F. Promis noted, it "isn't meant to be a greatest-hits collection" but "it's an assortment of big, swooping Whitney Houston love songs" and that it "is solely intended for the most casual of fans". In the United Kingdom, the album has sold 46,264 copies.
