The Glitter Band are a glam rock band from England, who initially worked as Gary Glitter's backing band under that name from 1973, when they then began releasing records of their own. They were unofficially known as the Glittermen on the first four hit singles by Gary Glitter from 1972 to 1973.
The Glitter Band had seven UK Top 20 hit singles in the mid-1970s, and three hit albums. Pete Phipps and John Springate are still currently touring with The Glitter Band. John Rossall and Harvey Ellison tour under their own names.

Сразу обращает на себя внимание звук, который оперирует не категорией резкого авангардного мышления прошлых лет, а умеренным сочетанием взрывных акцентов ритм-секции и фаз холодной отстраненности, коих на "Colored Sands" больше, чем во всем предыдущем творчестве Gorguts. Картина выстраивается детальная, и не перегруженная ненужным переплетением изобразительных форм, что в свою очередь позволяет говорить о большой работе над аранжировками, коя позволила исключить лишние фрагменты, которые коренным образом не влияли на ход повествования. Такими вещами любят перегружать свои релизы коллективы молодые, и еще не уразумевшие, что технический винегрет, без музыки, не является чем-то ценным. Лемэй же, четко представляет грань между творчеством и хаосом, поэтому не может себе позволить растворить чисто музыкальные идеи в волоките размеров.

2012 with the release of the cash grabby Home at Last EP. As always, these old timers bring you Germanic power metal distilled to its most simplistic, knuckle-dragging form. That means songs with the most basic riffs and song writing imaginable and the trademark “Donald Duck on a voice modulator” vocals of Chris Boltendahl. Seriously, this stuff is so rudimentary, it makes Accept sound like Dream Theater. Simple or not, the last few albums haven’t exactly bowled me over with awesome sauce and the most recent one was half-baked. As per usual for EPs these days, you get three new songs and three live tracks of dubious value (and a surprisingly badass cover).

Шведская команда-долгожительница Grave за всю свою карьеру выработала звучание, взятое за основу многими молодыми коллективами дэт-жанра. Музыканты начали работать еще в 1986 году (тогда группа называлась Corpse). За пять лет они настрогали несколько демок, а дебютный альбом вышел только в 1991-м. "Into The Grave" сделал команду одним из наиболее брутальных актов, а серия европейских и американских концертов закрепила за Grave этот статус. Альбом 1992 года "You'll Never See...", активно расхваливаемый критиками, имел более "чистое" звучание и был рассчитан на более широкую аудиторию. К сожалению, бас-гитарист Йонас Торндал не принимал участия в его создании, поскольку напряженный гастрольный график заставил его покинуть ряды Grave. После бесплодных попыток найти ему замену музыканты решили продолжать дело втроем, а Йорген Сандстрём переключился с гитары на бас.
