До чего мне нравятся грамотно сделанные каверы! Под ними я понимаю такие переделки чужих вещей, в которых при саунде и стилевой направленности кавермейкера (простите за англицизм) сохранена атмосфера звучания оригинала – по этой части нет равных Cradle Of Filth. Их земляки Napalm Death пошли иным путем – попытались причесать полностью под свою гребенку шесть самых-самых любимых песенок. Не думаю, что им это до конца удалось, но получилось очень даже недурственно. Убей бог, не могу вспомнить, кто первым записал альбом, состоящий полностью из каверов (на ум, конечно, приходит Metallica’87, но по-моему, не то). На данный момент таких релизов достаточно много, и “Leaders Not Followers” среди них один из самых удачных.

Последний раз Янг записывался с Crazy Horse девять лет назад, к тому же без Фрэнка Сампедро. После 2003 года музыкант сосредоточился на сольной, а также общественной деятельности. Лишь в 2011 году, во время премьеры документального фильма Джонатана Демми «Neil Young Journeys», исполнитель заявил о намерении записать новый альбом с Crazy Horse после долгих лет бездействия. Запись Americana длилась полгода, с сентября 2011-го по февраль 2012-го, исключительно во время полнолуния. Как вспоминал впоследствии Фрэнк Сампедро: «Мы играли каждую сессию по пять-семь дней только во время полной луны, и так в течение шести месяцев.

Вкрапления ближневосточной музыки, всегда бывшие визитной карточкой коллектива, никуда не исчезли, хотя их концентрация могла бы быть выше – видимо Сандерс поленился насочинять побольше. По этой причине Nile немного подрастерял индивидуальности, и “Vile Nilotic Rites” часто звучит как просто ещё один очень хороший техно-дэтовый альбом. Но в данном случае, это уже придирки, которые принципиально не меняют моего положительного отношения к данному релизу, который умудрился буквально воскресить завязшую в зыбучих песках скуки и самоповторов группу.

Напалмовцы как всегда угощают нас бравыми, изрядно припанкованными риффами; быстрыми, маршеподобными, отвечающими темпераменту музыки ударными и яростным, напористым вокалом Барни Гринуэя. Помимо этого, нужно сказать о не менее значимых компонентах музыки Napalm Death, которые делают ее непрямолинейной и оригинальной.

Звучит всё очень резво и мощно. Очень сильно отличается от того что делали ND в девяностые. Сыграно всё просто идеально точно по нотам. Оригинальные исполнители на концертах так не сыграют :). При этом по звучинию инструментов сразу догадаушьеся кто играет. Звук кстати тоже стал лучше чем на последних альбомах( чуствуется возврат к своим bloody roots: Scum F.E.T.O. H.C. ). Альбом можно использовать как энциклопедию тяжелой музыки. Интересно всё это слушать если вы слышали оригиналы. Особенно интересно по сравнению с остальным звучит Troops Of Doom Сепультуры. (Сепультура кстати тоже написали кавар на Messiah (Hellhammer) послушайте - сравните). Альбом можно слушать очень долго. Сразу чувствуется что такое не каждый день выходит.

Итак, передо мной 5-й альбом легендарных Napalm Death. Альбом без слабых мест. Адски напористая, ритмичная смесь death, grind, остро отточенная техника, безупречная реализация, хотя немного модернизированный, но это все тот же,до боли узнаваемый звук "Напалма".Здесь нет проходных песен, а уж такие боевики как "Remain Nameless", "More than meet the eye" и "Fasting on deceptium" залегли в душу надолго!В общем, Napalm Death "держат марку": Драйв + Энергетика + Тяжесть + Высокий профессионализм = "Fear, Emptiness, Despair".

Tragic Kingdom is the third studio album by American rock band No Doubt. It was released on October 10, 1995, by Trauma Records and Interscope Records. "Song Sung Blue" is a 1972 hit song written and recorded by Neil Diamond, inspired by the second movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto #21. It was released on Diamond's album, Moods and later appeared on many of Diamond's live and compilation albums.
It was his second #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States, after 1970's "Cracklin' Rosie", and to date his last solo #1 song (he had #1 duet with Barbra Streisand in 1978: You Don't Bring Me Flowers). It spent twelve weeks in the Top 40. In addition, "Song Sung Blue" spent seven weeks at #1 on the adult contemporary chart. It also made the pop chart in the United Kingdom, reaching #14 on the UK Singles Chart. The song has become one of Diamond's standards, and he often performs it during concerts.
