Much to the surprise of many, SERIOUS BLACK indeed proved to be a real band and they kept their promise of rocking the stages wherever possible. So during only a year they not only successfully released a fantastic debut album, but also went on extensive European tours with HammerFall and later Gamma Ray. In addition, SERIOUS BLACK was chosen to be special guest on Kamelot's German Summer shows and also played numerous festivals in Europe. A new band - 6 members, 6 friends - all with huge experience and knowledge from many years in the business and being part of the most successful melodic metal bands: this is SERIOUS BLACK! The line-up consists of Roland Grapow (Masterplan, ex-Helloween), Thomen Stauch (ex-Blind Guardian), Mario Lochert (ex-Visions Of Atlantis), Dominik Sebastian (Edenbridge), Jan Vacik (ex-Dreamscape) and (last but not least) the golden voice of Urban breed (ex-Tad Morose). SERIOUS BLACK is different to many of the so-called 'all star' bands, because in fact, they are a real band. A band that crafted their incredible debut album 'As Daylight Breaks' together, with every member involved into songwriting and recordings, a band that can't wait to enter the stages. 'As Daylight Breaks' is a real teamwork effort, a melodic metal jewel displaying conviction, amazing musicianship and outstanding songwriting.

Featuring ex-HELLOWEEN member Roland Grapow on guitars, as well as Thomen Stauch, who used to be in BLIND GUARDIAN, amongst other particularly good musicians, this vinyl release means a real power metal treat. 'As Daylight Breaks' was originally released in January 2015 on CD, here comes the vinyl version: A must-have for fans of Power Metal the way it should be done, there's heavy and melodic riffs, soaring vocals, and great songwriting throughout this mammoth of an album!

Serious Black is basically typical German style heavy/power metal, albeit a little bit more on the melodic side and with a few more hard rock/AOR leanings than your average Helloween or Gamma Ray or Rage or whatever other German power metal band one might fancy, except perhaps Edguy's latest efforts.
There are some really enjoyable songs here even if they're extremely formulaic. It's more consistent in terms of song writing than many established bands' recent efforts even though the older bands' standout songs are still better. On the other hand Serious Black are still far better than the myriad of power/heavy metal bands in terms of getting the most out of generic song structures and equally generic melodies. In some ways Serious Black have written the ultimate examples of power metal archetypes. This is the benchmark for stereotypical power metal.

Since winning the International Blues Challenge, the Selwyn Birchwood Band has performed at many festivals including The Springing the Blues Festival, The Mississippi Valley Blues Festival, The Tampa Bay Blues Festival, The King Biscuit Blues Festival, The North Atlantic Blues Festival and also on The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise. Birchwood has opened for Robert Cray and Buddy Guy, and has shared the stage with veteran bluesman and fellow Alligator Records artist Joe Louis Walker (who made a guest appearance on Don't Call No Ambulance).

Rock Believer is the nineteenth studio album by German rock band Scorpions, released on 22 February 2022 in the United Kingdom and 25 February elsewhere. This is the band's first studio album with drummer Mikkey Dee, who replaced James Kottak in 2016, and their first studio album in seven years since Return to Forever (2015), making it the longest gap between studio albums.

Rock Believer será el próximo décimo noveno álbum de estudio de la banda alemana de hard rock y heavy metal Scorpions, cuyo lanzamiento está previsto para el 22 de febrero de 2022 en Europa y el 25 de febrero en América del Norte.​ Este será el primer álbum de estudio de la banda con el baterista Mikkey Dee, quien reemplazó a James Kottak en 2016, y su primer álbum de estudio en siete años desde Return to Forever (2015), lo que lo convierte en la brecha más larga entre álbumes de estudio.

Ну что можно сказать: очень достойная работа, несмотря на смену состава, альбом получился очень красочным и интересным. По сравнению с предыдущими творениями группы, звук здесь более тяжелый и грязный, что отнюдь не мешает получать удовольствие от прослушивания этого альбома. Данная работа является, наверное, самой тяжёлой за всю историю существования группы.

Все тот же величественный эпический металл c пробирающими до костей мелодиями. Качество записи оставляет желать лучшего – но по крайней мере оно не стало хуже. Хотя, можно было бы за 5 лет поднакопить деньжат на запись в нормальной студии, но возможно в этом и есть вся прелесть этого проекта. Слушая “Oath Bound” я ловил себя на мысли, что сейчас на дворе 1996 год, когда я впервые услышал “Minas Morgul”. Описывать По-отдельности трэки не имеет смысла – это все тот же 100% Саммонинг с присущей ему торжественностью и погружающей в миры Толкиена атмосферой.

Dans ce nouvel album, Hang with you, Steve Shehan se consacre avant tout au hang dont il explore les multiples possibilités dans de très différents contextes, démontrant ainsi les incroyables capacités musicales de cet instrument apparemment insolite, mais de plus en plus pratiqué dans le monde entier… Le résultat est époustouflant : entouré d’invités d’horizons différents comme l’actrice Golshifteh Farahani (Mensonges d’Etat, Syngue Sabour, film inspiré de la vie de l’actrice iranienne et d’un livre Prix Goncourt 2008…), passionnée de Hang qu’elle pratique régulièrement en duo avec Steve, le trompettiste Ibrahim Maalouf ou Didier Malherbe au doudouk, ou encore le chanteur baryton Ugo Rabec, la violoncelliste Charlotte Castellat ou Vladiswar Nadishana, virtuose du ney et de la flute bansuri. Au gré des rencontres, c’est à un véritable tour du monde musical que nous convie.

Стало ещё больше хитов, запоминающихся моментов и ярких соляков, самые лучшие из них открывающая «A Question Of Honor» с очень атмосферными и мелодичными клавишами, средне темповый номер с красивым соло «Searching For Your Love», наверное, самая скоростная в истории группы песня «Trust No One», ещё один боевик с влиянием старого хард рокового творчества «Calm Before The Storm». Грусти в настроении альбома ещё стало больше по сравнению с предыдущим диском. На этой работе у Мэта явно открывается талант композитора, а мастерство исполнения растёт всё больше и больше. Также нужно отметить, что обложка у диска самая лучшая за всё время существования коллектива.

Представляем сборник песен в стиле рок-н-ролл в исполнении британского певца и композитора Шейкина Стивенса. Шейкин Стивенс, чье настоящее имя Майкл Баррэтт (Michael Barratt), получил широкую известность в 80-е и 90-е годы, выпустив 38 успешных синглов. Четыре из них занимали первые места в хит-параде Великобритании. Самые популярные композиции Стивенса - "This Ole House" и "Green Door".

Группа Skinless могла бы послужить хорошим наглядным пособием к теме «как сделать удачный альбом». По версии этих четырёх американских парней всё довольно просто. Настраиваем гитары на тон ниже (как минимум) и выкручиваем басы на полную. Чёткий синкопированный ритм чередуем с дэтовой мешаниной и грайндкоровой молотилкой, а низкий гроулинг с орущим скримом. Сочиняем не слишком разнообразные, но полные энергии композиции, на сладкое – привкус милитаризма и кавер-версия песни известного исполнителя.

Уникальное творение "Imaginary Sonicscape", от 'черных музыкальных иллюзионистов' из Японии, представляет собой причудливый калейдоскоп из ярких экспериментальных мелодий, превосходно аранжированных под 'классику' средствами коллаборации стилистических соединений black metal, sympho rock и jazz в единое звуковое полотно. В данной работе, музыкантом удалось в полной мере реализовать все свои творческие изыскания, которые берут свое начало с первых шагов деятельности виртуозного коллектива. Музыкальная линия альбома выстроена на основе арт-роковых элементов с отчетливым джазовым привкусом в 'черных тонах' и великолепным струящимся переливом фортепианных и симфонических клавиш, которые отчетливо оттеняют скримящий вокал Mirai.

Позже Slayer выпускали альбомы и лучше записаные и более глубокие в смысловом плане, но никогда впредь они не звучали так прямолинейно, неподдельно яростно. "Reign In Blood" стал классикой тяжёлой музыки и эталном звучания в трэш-метале. На этой записи Slayer окончательно сформировали свой характерный стиль. На протяжении менее тридцати минут здесь хладнокровно препарируются различные виды и формы зла. Этот альбом по сути является концептульным - о зле, глубоко пустившем корни в нашем мире, о зле, которое дремлет в каждом из нас. Как и подобает настоящим художникам, Slayer в своём повествовании не опускаются до дешёвого морализаторства, они просто рассказывают историю, которая нас захватывает (и ужасает). А выводы делает (или не делает) слушатель самостоятельно. Классика, выдержавшая испытание временем.
