На мой взгляд, «Dwelling Lifeless» - это достойный представитель своего жанра, выдержанный в лучших его традициях и при этом не лишенный своеобразия. Стилистически Sterbend напоминает незабвенный Burzum и заставляет вспомнить о временах «A Lost Forgotten Sad Spirit» и «Black Spell of Destruction». Замечу, что шрайк для DSBM - явление абсолютно стандартное, так что к вокалу Typhon не должно быть никаких претензий. Впрочем, у «Dwelling Lifeless» есть и еще одно преимущество, выгодно отличающее его от безликих подвальных релизов, то и дело наводняющих блэк-металический рынок. Я говорю о высоком качестве записи. В случае Sterbend это никоим образом не убавляет мрачной и депрессивной атмосферы альбома и позволяет расслышать многие нюансы.

Депрессивным блэком музыку Shining нельзя было назвать уже на предыдущей работе. Нельзя назвать её такой и тут. Некоторые моменты своим звучанием вообще заставят забыть, что группа играет блэк-метал и даже метал в принципе. И от этого только интереснее. Впрочем, блэку здесь уделено время, не депрессивно-суицидальному, конечно, кстати, суицидальной можно назвать лирику, про неё ещё вспомним. Если постараться отнести музыку этого альбома к какому-нибудь жанру, её можно назвать просто экспериментальным блэком.

Sieghetnar, of course, is the German ambient black metal project that basically takes entirely after Vinterriket and released an album in a made-up language, which is the only reason anyone knows the project, but behind all that is a one-man endeavor which can actually write some songs. ... The ingredients here are the same as on earlier Sieghetnar work: instrumental material based off slow, delayed walls of guitars, quiet, programmed drums, and synths which form the bulk of the melodic voice.

Вот казалось бы, что в данном жанре всё давным-давно сказано, но какие же тут крутые гитары! Отрадно, что Стив Рэмси и Грэм Инглиш на время приостановили деятельность Скайклэда и сконцентрировались на своей первой группе. Таким образом, прямое продолжение Court in the Act состоялось в наилучшем виде

Первое впечатление – Skinny Puppy никогда и не распадались, поскольку “The Greater Wrong Of The Right” является логическим продолжением “The Process”. Несколько неожиданно звучит лишь трек “Use Less” с живыми барабанами Дэнни Кэйри (Tool) и вокалом Уэйна Стэтика (Static-X), а все остальное – это классический индастриал с вкраплениями металлической гитары. При этом диск звучит удивительно свежо и современно, поэтому и рекомендуется всем – как старым фанатам Skinny Puppy, так и тем, кто никогда не слышал эту группу.

Hotter than July is the nineteenth studio album by American singer, songwriter, and musician Stevie Wonder, released on September 29, 1980, by Tamla, a subsidiary of Motown Records. Wonder primarily recorded the album in Los Angeles, California, at Wonderland Studios, which he had recently acquired. The album peaked at number three on the Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on February 3, 1981. It was Wonder's most successful album in the UK, where it peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and produced four top-10 singles. Music videos were produced for the album's first, third, and fourth singles.

Songs in the Key of Life is the eighteenth studio album by the American singer, songwriter and musician Stevie Wonder. A double album, it was released on September 28, 1976, by Tamla Records, a division of Motown. The album is regarded as the culmination of Wonder's "classic period" of recording which began in 1972 with Music of My Mind.

By 1974, Wonder was one of the most successful figures in popular music; his previous albums Music of My Mind (1972), Talking Book (1972), Innervisions (1973), and Fulfillingness' First Finale (1974) were back-to-back critical successes. However, by March 1975, Wonder seriously considered quitting the music industry and emigrating to Ghana to aid children with disabilities. When plans for a farewell concert had already begun, Wonder changed his mind and signed a new contract with Motown on August 5, 1975. This outlined a seven-year, seven-album deal, with full artistic control. This deal included $13 million upfront, a potential bonus of up to $20 million, 20% of the royalties, and ownership of the publishing rights. At the time, it was the biggest recording deal in history.
