10 января 2013 года известный музыкант-мультиинструменталист Туомас Саукконен шокировал всё финское метал-сообщество. Не пощадил он и другие свои проекты: вместе с Before The Dawn была поставлена точка в истории Black Sun Aeon, Dawn Of Solace, RoutaSielu и The Final Harvest.Туомас начал работать над новым проектом Wolfheart ещё летом 2012 года

Процесс шел медленно, но все же музыканты собрали полноценную команду (в которую теперь также вошли гитарист Мик Перез, басист Сэм и барабанщик Дэйв Дьюси) и заключили новый контракт с Metal Blade. Наконец, в 1998 году на прилавки магазинов лег второй "воинский" диск, "Ancient Future". В основном альбом базировался на традиционном хэви, однако не обошлось и без модерновых фишек, за счет чего саунд несколько осовременился.В поддержку пластинки "Warrior" провели небольшое турне и даже отметились на фестивале в Вакене. В 2000 году коллективу пришлось расстаться с МакКарти, а его место занял Роб Рок, ранее зарекомендовавший себя работой с Акселем Руди Пеллом и Крисом Импеллиттери.

«Hellbound» - самый жесткий альбом Warlock за всю их историю, да и за историю самой Доро тоже. Здесь во всей красе представлен немецкий хэви-метал с влияниями спид/пауэра, к тому же довольно-таки мелодичный. Звук, к сожалению, получился хуже, чем на «Burning the Witches», зато сама музыка стала гораздо серьезнее и мощнее. Развитие чувствуется и в вокале Дороти, и в технике музыкантов, которые теперь научились играть на «мировом» уровне, и в мелодике песен, которые практически избавились от признаков неопытности и примитивности. Неудачных песен здесь нет, особенно впечатляющими получились скоростные боевики «Hellbound», «Earthshaker Rock» и мрачные, агрессивные номера «Time to Die» и «Out оf Control».

Дебютник известной немецкой рок-формации Warlock получился довольно-таки неплохим. Необходимо отметить, что 1984 год стал дебютным для множества замечательных впоследствии групп как в Германии, так и во всем мире. Безусловно, лучший металлический дебют 84-го в мире - у американцев W.A.S.P., а в пределах Германии - у Stormwitch. "Колдуны" на этом фоне тоже не теряются, став сразу одними из лидеров молодой рок-сцены. Здесь слушателю представлен прямолинейный хэви метал с весомым влиянием Accept и только появившегося тогда спид металла. Недаром и конкуренты у Warlock соответствующие - это прежде всего Steeler Акселя Руди Пелла, Grave Digger и Running Wild.

Warrior балансируют на грани традиционно американского андеграундного тру-хэви и современного звучания, одновременно энергичного и депрессивного. Альбом набрасывается на нас "The Wars Of Gods And Men" – мощным молотобойным номером – выдвинутые вперед барабаны, громоздкие риффы, яростное, почти злое пение Стораца, и при этом странно эпическая торжественная, хотя и мрачная атмосфера.

Triumph And Agony (рус. «Триумф и агония») — четвёртый и последний студийный альбом западногерманской хэви-метал группы Warlock. Выпущен в сентябре 1987 года на лейблах Vertigo Records (в Европе)[1] и Mercury Records (в США). После выпуска этого альбома группа окончательно распалась. Вокалистка Warlock Доро Пеш впоследствии основала собственный проект Doro.

I freely admit that Worriers was one of those bands I should have known much more about prior to attending the Fest last year. Missing out on their appearance in Gainesville is quickly becoming my biggest regret. Luckily, it looks like I’ll be able to rectify that in short order as they are embarking on a tour with Brian Fallon in support of this, their latest album, You or Someone You Know.

In 1988, at the pinnacle of the “Hollywood Hair Metal” craze, WILDSIDE, then called YOUNG GUNNS, was formed by guitarist Benny Rhynedance and singer Drew Hannah. Both were 1986 hair metal transplants from the pre-grunge Seattle music scene, which in 1986, did not exist yet.
By 1988 in Los Angeles, after slugging it out for two years in the LA club scene as glam rockers Rogue and enduring the Hollywood “Pay to Play” club promoter rip-off, Benny and Drew disbanded their original Seattle band. They then formed THE BOYZ, which became YOUNG GUNNS, and recruited second guitarist Brent Woods from the Sunset Strip band ALRISHA, and bassist Marc Simon from local heroes ST. VALENTINE. The lineup was soon completed with the addition of drummer Johnny Dean, but he soon left the band.
The guys searched for a permanent drummer and dominated the Sunset Strip and the Whisky-A-Go-Go on the weekly Monday night “No Bozo Jam” shows. After a year and a half of “false starts and flakes,” they found ex-NRG and KANE ROBERTS drummer Jimmy D. from San Bernardino, CA to finally complete the classic lineup.
This is when the hard work truly began. With a solid lineup, the band began an all-out assault on Hollywood. Sold out shows followed at the Roxy, Whisky, Troubadour, Gazzarri’s, and X-Poseur 54. Front page covers on all of the LA rock press magazines arose, and record labels began to take notice.
Diligently writing and rehearsing in their shared Hollywood gigs, the boys played endlessly throughout 1988-1989. When they weren’t ripping through impassioned sets, they were putting up flyers on every telephone pole in town. Their self-determination turned self-promotion into an art form and soon the band’s name was on everyone’s lips.
However, the band needed to eventually change their name. Originally known as YOUNG GUNNS between ’88 to ‘90, the producers of a western film using a similar title (released incidentally after the band was already well on its way) from Lionsgate Studios and Artisan Entertainment issued a series of cease and desist warnings and wanted $350,000 for the rights to the name.
After another late night Sunset Strip gig, while the guys were afterwards at the Rainbow bar, the name WILDSIDE was thrown around and seemed to fit their lifestyle perfectly, while being inspired by the Lou Reed song of the same name.
With their new name, a new phase of the band history was about to begin. But, that’s another story…

The Purple Album is the twelfth studio album by British hard rock band Whitesnake. It contains remakes of songs from Deep Purple band lineups Mark III and Mark IV, when Whitesnake lead singer David Coverdale was a member of that band. It was released on 29 April in Japan, 15 May in Europe, 18 May in the UK and 19 May 2015 in the US through Frontiers Records. The album debuted at number 87 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of around 6,900 units in its first week of release. It is also the first album since the band's 1989 studio album, Slip of the Tongue, to feature 'classic' Whitesnake drummer Tommy Aldridge.

Auf dem mit Pete Wingfield gemeinsam produzierten Album mischte Westernhagen deutschen Rhythm and Blues mit gelegentlichen Einflüssen der Rolling Stones (Tanz mit dem Teufel). Einige Funk-Zitate, zum Beispiel in Hey Honey ergänzen die Songs.[2] Das Album erreichte Platz 1 der deutschen Charts. Vor allem die Singleauskopplung Es geht mir gut wurde zum Erfolg im deutschsprachigen Raum. Auch die zugehörige Tournee Affentour, auf der die DVD Keine:Zeit – Affentour 1995 aufgenommen wurde, war sehr erfolgreich.

Love, Whitney is a compilation album by Whitney Houston, released in 2001. It was the follow-up to Houston's multi-platinum greatest hits collection Whitney: The Greatest Hits (2000). Love, Whitney is a collection of ballads that have become her trademark over the years and includes a collection of nine top 20 hits. As AllMusic reviewer Jose F. Promis noted, it "isn't meant to be a greatest-hits collection" but "it's an assortment of big, swooping Whitney Houston love songs" and that it "is solely intended for the most casual of fans". In the United Kingdom, the album has sold 46,264 copies.
